Simon Lenski (DAAU) and Bo Wiget met each other while touring with Meg Stuart’s “Visitors Only” production.

Cellist Bo Wiget played the live soundtrack (together with Paul Lemp) for this play.
Simon Lenski was employed as a sound-technician in the production, but as he always carries around his beloved cello, the two cello-players soon found a common ground in their music. They started to improvise together, becoming fascinated with each others techniques and styles. Between January 2003 and September 2006 they got together frequently to improvise, compose and record.

They also performed live at the Domino Festival at AB (Brussel) and on De Donderdagen at De Singel (Antwerpen).

The result of this work process is now gathered on “Die Vögelein schweigen im Walde”. The release date will be April 2007.
